According to the T. The T has already recieved 16 CRRCS 1900/1901-1912/1913 are currently active. While 1914/1915 Delivered last Week is currently in Testing around Cabot Yard. Now the T's plan is to recieve 60 more CRRCS by July 2024. Which are going to fully replace the Pullman Standard 01500's & 01600's by July 2024. For the 01700s in 2025 by 60 more additional CRRC 1900s & 2000s. For the Bombardier 01800s those will be sent to Overhaul for a two year service extension. All CRRCS expected to be delivered by 2026.

A few years ago, I was in Deerfield, MA at a takeout ice cream stand as an Amtrak train flew by. Wondered how fast he was going. A couple of days later, I was in Ashuelot, NH (a good hour's drive north) and was checking out the deserted railroad bed when someone came down the sidewalk with his elderly relative. We got talking and I asked him when he knew about railroads and he said that he knew a bit. Well I asked him about the Deerfield Amtrak from the other day. He started laughing. Turned out he was the chief engineer on that route....that SAME day. If I remember, they were going about 80 MPH making good time on open country. Interesting coincidence.
